Postponed: Biggest Gainer Financial Series

The word is out – ALPFA, BAP, and the FMA have teamed up to bring you a one-of-a-kind financial series: The Biggest Gainer.

Over the next few months, we will be hosting workshops with various themes like student loans, credit cards, taxes, and insurance, among others. These workshops will be presented by professionals that have experience advising people and companies about their finances from firms like the Motley Fool and NPR, so you are guaranteed to learn something new during each session. And this is totally FREE.

But here’s the best part; as the workshops go on, there will be a competition where a team of 4 that improves their combined credit scores the most will win a $1,000 scholarship that can be used during Summer or Fall term. During the kick off session, we will use Credit Karma to look up your credit score and you will form teams of 4 for the competition. There will be free pizza and John Maxfield from the Motley Fool will be speaking on the importance of financial literacy. After the kickoff event, there will be a total of 5 workshops that will take place either on Tuesday or Thursday evening from 6 to 8pm.

If you’re interested in keeping up to date or creating a team prior to the event, like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, and check in on the website.
